| James Hickok is a Utah state licensed and District Court qualified master mediator with more than 38 years of conflict resolution in the federal sector. He negotiated and mediated the settlement of more than 300 administrative cases appealed to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit System Protection Board and federal union arbitrators. He resolved an average of 250 employee and union disputes a year dealing with disciplinary notices, terminations, overtime issues, FMLA, Zero Tolerance, discrimination and union contract violations. He served as chief negotiator/advisor for hundreds of union collective bargaining agreements in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Montana and Colorado. He has taught basic and advanced arbitration advocacy, collective bargaining negotiations, pro-active approaches to conflict resolution and alternative dispute resolution procedures. Having recently retired from federal employment, he is concentrating his practice on consulting and mediation for workplace disputes and divorces.
